So today Miss Etta James is saying she was joking when she said she can't stand Beyonce
Well , I don't buy it!
I think her PR people told her she looks like a bitter old woman .
Although I have to say , I don't blame her for being upset.
Why wasn't Miss Etta asked to sing HER song?
Is it good PR to have a younger singer?
Is it now Miss B's song?

Well first off It's not B's faught, President Obama asked for her Beyonce to sing the song.... It's not her faught so she should not be the blame....
Etta did not need to sing it.. Her Heart and Spirit is just way too ugly!
OH please it will never be B's song. She should stick with her "If you liked it then you should of put a ring on it..." songs and leave the classics alone. It would of been nice if President Obama would have asked Etta but let's be real. Obama, the celebrity that he is was just pandering to the MTV generation by asking B to sing that song. It's his way of thanking all the young voters for voting for him which is why the inauguration felt more like a 24 hour MTV Music Awards show (minus the CNN coverage) and not an official Presidential event.
Etta, just be glad you sat this one out. And don't be sorry for not wanting such a person singing the song you have nothing to apologize for. I didn't care for B's version anyway.
I dont like the fact that beyonce's being bashed for singing the song...Etta's just mad President Obama asked Beyonce to sing the song and not HER! C'mon if u dont like her then why pretend and consent to play you in a movie? its obvious that she will be performing the song! Matter of fact this isnt the first, second or third time Beyonce performed At Last...so why now she has a problem with that? i think she took it too far saying ...he's not my president! un called for!
